I am Chinese and thus, Chinese has got a lot of traditions to follow. When it comes to marriage, we need to choose the right date, right people to attend your wedding, right place, right time, right Chinese horoscope partner, etc.. WOW! That's heck of a lot of things to consider before you can settle down with your partner.

I have chosen 19th of Dec 2010 for my wedding in Penang, as the 18th of Dec has been taken and coincidentally, the person who is getting married on the 18th is the sister of my brother's ex-gf! what a small world!!! Thus I need to stick to the 19th which is a sunday! But, am still loving the venue compared to the other hotels... Firstly, I love to have a garden/ beach wedding and we'll be having a garden ceremony,

which will be followed by the reception in the ballroom (as per dad's request). My fiance has always wanted to have his wedding by the beach since we're in Malaysia. So both parties' wishes are fulfilled.

We are now choosing the right date for our registration of marriage in Spain. I need to confirm the date as soon as possible as my dad's friends are actually planning to attend it in Spain! Oh MY GOSH! That would mean, am not gonna have a lonely spanish registration of marriage but instead we'll be having with us Malaysians, Australians and Singaporeans. How lucky!
I asked daddy to go to the temple to enquire which is the best date... One of the best way for me to not worry bout the dates (cos now we're thinking of the 8th or 12th of Feb). My brother introduced me to this famous feng shui master, Lilian Too.

It was stated at her website that 8th of Feb 2010 is an auspicious day but 12th is an inauspicious day. But 12th is our anniversary date as well as my fiance's birthday. My darling wants to remember dates easily... So he wants it all to be on the 12th .. LOL! *My silly boy*
LILLIAN TOO highlights the power of mirrors, explaining in detail how they can be used as powerful enhancing tools for doubling good energy, etc ...

Dad called me when i was at work and told me that the date for the registration of marriage is not important as it's not withing our control to choose the date. But let me tell you this, in Spain (in Saldes @ mountain I mean) we get to choose our date because not many people lives there!
Let me show you saldes.. It is a very pretty place indeed but I swear to God, I cannot live there for more than 2 weeks.. I can go crazy! LOL but am more than glad to have my ROM and after party there:

The day of marriage @ the day your husband's brings you out of your house (Chinese tradition) is the important day. And guess what? The guy from the temple told my dad that 19th Dec is a BAD day! That's my wedding date! Everything has been planned! OMG!!! 18th, 20th & 30th are good dates but God's sake, 18th has been taken, 20th is a monday and 30th is a Thursday... Who on earth is gonna come to my reception??? *faint*
Then I got a text message from my dad saying:
"Don't be superstitious. Go ahead with your plan & don't think or believe as this apply to those who incline to believe"... Awww, dad really knows how to make me feel better eh? Love for his daughter is that strong!
Then I told my bridesmaids:
"HOW LA? Can I pretend to be not chinese for one day?"
Yvonne replied:
"You're doing the 'YES I DO' ceremony and yet you asked your dad to go to the temple to ask on dates"... LOL, contradicting me!
MY FIANCE IS THE BEST! HE SAID "I AM NOT CHINESE"
CONCLUSION: WE'RE STICKING TO THE 19TH OF DEC 2010!
