2011 Spanish League (Camp Nou Barcelona)

To all FC Barcelona fans out there!

As everyone knows that Barcelona football team (FCB) had won the 2011 Spanish League (La Liga), they have made an effort to tour Barcelona city in an opened roof-top bus to show their cup to their forever loyal fans.

Football used to be once just a very popular sport where it has turned political lately. In Spain, as we know that a football team plays with many different other teams. However, fans of FCB hate Real Madrid team! WHY??? There are many reasons to it... I am not a football fan and thus I haven't got much to say here.

Anyway, yesterday, instead of waiting by the roadside with all the other supporters, we went straight to Camp Nou stadium as that would be their last stop... Firstly, parking was a problem, and has been always a problem regardless of whether there is a function or without a function. Therefore, I prefer to travel by metro or the bus! But sometimes, I just want to be sitting in a car... (I can be a pain at times)

There was no entry charge which was good for me as I don't like football but just to experience the stadium filled with 80,000 people. And what more, we were so lucky that we actually sat in the first few rows, so near to the field but yet, the players were super duper tiny! This seat would have caused me approx 300 euros. So we saved approx 600 euros... It was worth it, you know what I mean, the whole experience, although there was no match going on. Cos i saw Lionel Messi from far.. LOL!

Lionel Messi

But the noise from those horns seriously annoyed me (my poor ears)... ARGH! -.-

*This was just like Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding, but this was even bigger with 80k instead of just 1,900 people (number of guests invited to Buckingham Palace for the reception). Nope the players didn't come in a horse carriage nor in a car but in a bus! Of course, we didn't beat the number of eyes watching the live telecast on TV worldwide. LOL!

We waited for 1 and a half hours, taking pictures, waiting for the players, and waiting for the stadium to be filled up... Everyone was enjoying the live band but NOT ME cos I understood NOTHING! When the players arrived, we only watched them for 20 minutes as again, I understood nothing.. Literally Nothing OK! Entertainments were all in Catalan and not Spanish. My Spanish is already like a 2 year old, what more with Catalan! FML

Looking for "our" seats

Part of Camp Nou stadium.. almost filled up

What a nice view eh...

As usual, Hubby playing with his new Tamron Lens *eyes rolling*

See those 2 guys running? Carlos Puyol (Barcelona captain) and Xavi with the Catalunya flag

**To those who wants to visit Camp Nou Stadium in the near future, you can either use the Metro (L3) and stop at Zona Universitaria; or by Bus no 7; or with the Barcelona hop on-hop off Touristic Bus.
