Let me introduce myself as the first entry of my blog. I used to be a small time blogger when I was studying in the UK but somehow i got bored of blogging. But after reading others’ blogs, I have decided to start blogging again and I hope I have chosen the right thing to blog.
I have just recently turned 25, and I am a full-time worker and a part-time student doing my LLM. I met my fiancé 3 years ago when we were studying in the same University in the UK doing different courses. He is Spanish and he is from Barcelona, Spain. We lived together for the first year and we are now in a long distance relationship which has lasted for 2 years now. When he proposed last year in Cambodia, it was when I got all hyped up about the wedding plans. He is Spanish and I am Malaysian, and that makes everything not so easy compared to those marrying someone from their own country.
I have started blogging again is because now that I have turned 25 and now that he has proposed to me a year ago, and now that we are planning for our big day, I would like to share with everyone out there in regards to the “(+) and (-) of a cross-cultural wedding”. I have never thought of the hassle marrying a foreigner when I was younger… *toot* What counts is the happiness and I AM VERY HAPPY! Thus, for cases like this, planning a year ahead or more is a good thing as it gives you a lot of time to think and crap about it with your friends *eyes rolling*, and let you not go crazy in a shorter period although I’m getting there now! When we were in our 2nd year of our relationship, I have started browsing for my wedding dress.. *dreaming* I have never thought of “ME” getting married this early… Yes, ME, cos I am one energetic girl who is always up for a party but now I have definitely toned down *have to cos soon to be someone’s wife* but I still enjoy all of my friends’ company and is still partying hard!
This is a picture of my dream wedding dress:

P.S: Our big day will be end of next year but our registration of marriage (ROM) will be in March in Spain. Let me tell you why I have even bothered explaining what ROM stands for. This is because I was so naive as to think of it as CD-ROM. LOL! *eyes rolling again*
I hope this will help those who are jumping up and down, and turning all around, after being placed a huge diamond ring on their finger, whichever finger which is right in their country! Wearing a heavy ring means GET TO BUSINESS!
ENJOY!!! and ALL DA BEST! xoxo
